A BRAIN STORMING SESSION ON MATHEMATICAL SKILLS FOR NET EXAMINATION

A New Year brings fresh opportunities to start over, ride on it and make resolutions to achieve all our dreams. Likewise for our welfare, our Department of Mathematics have arranged "A Brain Storming Session on Mathematical Skills for  NET Exam" in the first working day of  this new year. About 50 participants participated in this programme.  

The session started with a prayer song by the research scholars of our department at 10 a.m. Then our beloved Head of the Department, Dr. A. PramilaInpa Rose, delivered the Welcome Address. After that, the Research Coordinator of our department, Dr. A. Vijayan, delivered the Presidential Address.

         Our Chief Guest, Dr. C. Sekar, Head of the Department of Mathematics, PG Extension Centre, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Nagercoil, had presented his Chief Guest’s address with the title "Towards Convergence".

           He inspired us through his talk by connecting mathematics with real life. Before completing his session, he made us think of some real-life applications of  Mathematics.

           After his session, some of the students had given their feedback. Then a Vote of Thanks was proposed by  D. Dhana Lekshmi, Secretary, Mathematics Research Forum. The meeting came to an end with the National Anthem.
